A message from Eileen for the concerned parents:

Wednesday when we went to the Mariscal, we thought that there might be some protests there, but we knew that these would not be the big protests: those would happen in the Historical District. These protests were not violent. The only danger we faced was inhaling some tear gas. We also know the neighborhood well enough to be able to get out of the way fast if it seemed to be getting bad (we were about 5 blocks away from my work which continued to give classes throughout the day). So donít worry.
